Fascinating Lilypad City
Award-winning architect Vincent Callebaut has designed a self-sustainable “Lilypad City” as a long-term solution to the problem of rising sea levels caused by climate change. A Lilypad City would provide a home for 50,000 people and would float atop water. The artificial island includes a lake, mountains, shopping malls and drifts on the ocean currents.

What a wonderful thought.I have always thought we spend so much time reaching into space that we forget that we have as yet not explored and used the water which is 2/3 of the third rock from the sun.
Would like to c more like this.
Where would you find water that still in the middle of an ocean? The lilypad islands would be constantly swaying from the ocean waves, causing astronomical levels of sea-sickness. Wouldnt it just be better to stop polluting than come up with fantastical ideas of how we would live under the effects of global warming. I mean come on!

I guess it wouldn’t be artificial enough without shopping malls.
